UP VLEs officially empowered to carry out NREGA works

The Government of UP has now empowered all Village Level Entrepreneurs to carry out NREGA photography and updating works. In an unprecedented Government Order (GO) issued on 5th October, 2009, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has denoted the 17909 Jan Seva Kendras (CSCs) as centres to carry out all NREGA related works like Data Entry, MIS updation, Masterroll creation and Job Card Feeding. It is a great achievement for Sahaj operations in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The model can be replicated in other States too, in close consultation with all state governments.
