Sahaj participates in NABARD’s Nature Fest
National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD has set up the Natural Resource Management Centre (NRMC) at Kolkata with focus on identifying the replicable models, action research, consultancy, capacity building needs in areas of NRM and facilitate NRM based livelihoods through credit and credit plus interventions.
As part of our mandate, NRMC is organising a "Nature Fest" for showcasing and displaying NRM technologies and products of different partner institution viz., NGOs, Farmers' clubs, Self Help Groups, Research Institutes and private industries. Products like mat, sitalpati, coir, jute, sisal fibre, banana fibre, areca leaf, terra-cotta, dry flower, recycled paper etc. will be showcased, displayed and kept for sale. In addition to normal visitors, about 50-60 farmers from West Bengal and neighbouring states will be visiting the fest as part of the exposure programme. The programme is being held from 25 Oct. to 03 Nov. 2010 at Central Park fair ground, Karunamoyee, Salt Lake, Kolkata.
